Meaghan holds a Master's degree in Applied Exercise Physiology from Columbia University-Teachers College as well as several certifications, including Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS), Medical Exercise Specialist (AAHFRP-MES), Certified Personal Trainer (ACE-CPT), Pre/Post Natal Trainer and CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1). She discovered her love for fitness while playing collegiate softball and fell into the industry shortly after graduating. She was a practicing fitness professional in New York City for 13 years before recently moving to Cambridge and joining the team at CAC. While in New York, Meaghan grew to be the Director of Education at a school for aspiring fitness professionals as well as for a staff of 20+ trainers, overseeing curriculum and instructing on the science and application of exercise science to professional personal training. She has also had roles in fitness media, previously serving as a Fitness Editor and contributing writer for several fitness magazines. It was through these many different roles that she came to appreciate the underlying importance of education and communication to helping people achieve their goals – whatever they may be – and she continues striving to emphasize these attributes to each of her clients. After over a decade in NYC, Meaghan is excited to continue her fitness career in her home state. She hopes to also find a local softball league and continue playing the sport that originally sparked her love of fitness.
