There she received the Diploma of Professional Specialty, Education and Physiologist Training. She also received her certification for AAPT (American Academy of Personal Training.) In addition, before and after her graduation, she worked at the AAPT school and did individual personal training. Stavroula tries to motivate and coach people to improve their physical fitness through training techniques and skills. She assesses form, technique, and physical ability and then develops a program that best targets a client's needs and makes adjustments to the program to meet the client's goals. She teaches her clients how to remain safe and free of injury by following good form and safe practices. Stavroula also suggests ways to further improve and maintain good health by educating clients on nutrition, lifestyle, and weight control. She specializes in corrective exercise which means helping to keep clients injury-free. Additionally, she likes to monitor her client's progress so they can see the progress they've made. Demonstrating exercises and routines to her clients is also important to her as well as motivating and encouraging them. Favorite free time activities of her's include: meditating, traveling, reading and listening to podcasts. Stavroula believes that it's important to travel to different places that make you happy, and make memories that will last long. With two convenient locations in Cambridge that offer Group Fitness classes, CAC offers on-site live and virtal group exercise classes, personal training, small group training and specialized dance classes within our updated facilities. Our clubs have a popular group fitness programs that includes Les Mills BODYPUMP, RPM, SPRINT, BODY BALANCE, CORE as well as, ZUMBA, Yoga, Pilates, and TRX Bootcamp. About the Position This is a part-time/occasional, on-site role as a Group Exercise Instructor at either/both our Cambridge, MA locations. As a Group Exercise Instructor, your responsibilities will include leading group exercise classes, providing fitness instruction, and conducting training sessions. You will utilize your knowledge of exercise physiology to create effective and engaging workouts for our members. We are interested in instructors looking for ongoing, weekly class spots as well as instructors wanting to get notified only to cover occasional classes when need of coverage occurs. InBody Testing Our Personal Training team is now offering InBody testing. An InBody Scan will give you an accurate look at body fat, lean muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, water retention and muscle mass in your arms, legs, and trunk. Once you know your biometrics, you are able to formulate a plan based on what YOU need to help you achieve the results you are looking for! You can use any follow-up sessions to track your progress. The InBody test is included with your Personal Fitness Evaluation (PFE). You can set up your PFE on the PT page. To set-up an InBody session alone (with no PFE) please fill out the form below. Bachata Bachata originated out of the Dominican Republic and used to be an illegal dance that one did in the privacy of their homes. This is because many saw it as a sensual dance. However, for those that enjoyed it, Bachata was also used as a form of expression as it can emanate, as quoted by Euronews, “a vector of emotions” such as “joy”, sadness, “pain”, and “suffering”. There are different types of Bachata including Traditional Bachata, Sensual Bachata, and Modern Bachata. Traditional Bachata, originating from the Dominican Republic, can incorporate elements of the Cha-Cha; Sensual Bachata, which originates from Europe, incorporates body isolations and body movements such as body waves; and Modern Bachata, which originates from New York, incorporates many urban movements. CAC's All Sports program introduces young athletes to a different sport each week. All Sports Youth Program At CAC, we are developing an All Sports Program! In addition to developing your child’s basic fundamental skills, each week they will be introduced to a different sport that they may or may not have played before! Athletes will be taught the basics of each sport or activity and will get the chance to experience it first hand. They will learn technique for each sport and activity to give them a greater base for long-term success as an athlete and as an individual. Additionally, athletes will condition and train to enhance their durability and reliability and be able to play at their highest level for entire seasons and beyond. Spring Sessions begin the week of March 8th at Cambridge Athletic Club 215 First Street. H ere is our Enrollment Tutorial. 1. All in attendance are required to wear a mask at all times in the facility. 2. All classes are capped at 8 so that social-distancing can be maintained. 3. All participants must fill out & sign a Health Form before each class. 4. 15 minutes between classes to allow for room to clear and be cleaned. 5. No-touch hand sanitizer & water-filling stations are available throughout facility. 6. Each child will be allowed 1 spectator to sit socially distanced on balcony above court.
