I liked the consistency w/knowing what the warm up was, the group drill in beginning and knowing that we always had 5 circuits to do. Anything with the tire is good though. I like the sledgehammer and the ropes even though they are exhausting.You definitely kicked my butt!! Session 3


Boot Camp is a great way to break up the infamous "workout monotony" we all seem to experience at one time or another. The exercises are like nothing you’ve seen before or could probably think of on your own. They’re challenging, exhausting but at the same time fun.  Think extreme playground games for adults. The circuit training platform for the Boot Camp sessions keeps you moving the entire class and time flies by.  The early morning session will wake you up with the motivated instructors loudly voicing ‘words of encouragement’ through each exercise.  It’s definitely stronger than a cup of coffee.  Some people might think, "I couldn’t do that, especially in the morning",  but you leave class feeling good because you know you did something good for yourself to start the day AND  you accomplished some pretty cool things before most people even wake up! Cambridge Athletic Center Boot Camp was just what I needed to get started in 2012! The staff has been helpful coordinating everything, and the trainers are great as well – making sure I’m working hard and utilizing the right technique!

Since I had been away from the gym for a long while and had fallen far, far out of shape, I was pretty nervous about singing up for a Bootcamp class.  The regular class sounded a little out of my league, but the “Basics” seemed a good place to start. Still, I wasn’t sure I’d be able to keep up, but that hasn’t been an issue and the classes have been very rewarding.  Our Trainer Matt does a very good job encouraging and pushing us based on individual levels, and takes us through an intense, but manageable workout. I really like the fact that our exercise routines are varied each session, but always focus on building core strength. The basic conditioning over the past few weeks have encouraged me enough to want to do more, and I just signed up for 2-times a week Bootcamp classes in the next session, which is probably the best endorsement I can give to the program.
